Quality Endorsed
Regional Training Services is a Quality Endorsed Training Organisation as recognised by the State Training Board and the Western Australian Department of Training.
To become a Quality Endorsed Training Organisation, Regional Training Services had to demonstrate to an independent validation agency that it met certain quality standards.
Ten quality standards make up the quality framework - four that relate to training and six that relate to the management processes that support the provision of training services.
The standards are:
1. Organisational planning and leadership; The organisation employs effective planning processes that lead to a clear sense of purpose and direction.
2. Clients' needs; The product and services delivered by the organisation are driven by clients needs and expectations.
3. Product design, development and review; The product design, development and review processes are sufficiently rigorous to ensure that each course meets national accreditation principles and the needs of industry and learners.
4. Training provision; Training meets industry requirements, the needs of individual learners and is effective in achieving quality outcomes.
5. Skills recognition; Individuals have the opportunity to have their skills, which have been gained through formal and informal education and training, work experience and life experience assessed and formally recognised.
6. Other core training services; The organisation has in place key strategies and processes to ensure that its core business is carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
7. Human resource management; The organisation recruits, manages and provides development opportunities for its staff to ensure they have the skills to meet client needs and assist the organisation achieve its goals.
8. Financial and information management; The organisation effectively manages its financial resources, contractual obligation, purchasing, supply and information management processes.
9. Assets and facilities management; The organisation makes effective use of its assets and facilities and implements processes to safeguard and maintain these resources.
10. Organisational performance; The organisation uses performance information regarding its key products and services and quality standards to drive the business of the organisation.
Client focus and continuous improvement are fundamental elements of the quality framework.
To maintain our status as a Quality Endorsed Training Organisation we are required to demonstrate that we meet these standards to an independent validation agency each year. Regional Training Services was first recognised as a Quality Endorsed Training Organisation in November 1997.
