Apprenticeship Training
What fees and charges apply to apprentices?
Fees and Charges are levied in line with a Fees and Charges policy set by the Department of Education and Training.
These charges are described in the VET Fees and Charges Document on the Department's web site.
The tuition fee is calculated at the rate of $1.42 per hour (to a maximum of $518.30per semester or $1,136.60 per annum). A concession rate of $0.74 per hour (to a maximum of $270.10 per semester or $540.20) per annum) is available for eligible students. The number of hours is based on the nominal duration of each of the units of competency listed on the Training Program Outline.
The resource fee for construction courses has been set at $0.95 per hour.
You have a range of options regarding payment. You can pay the fees in full. If the payment of fees causes you financial hardship, you can make arrangements for payment by deposit and installment.
If the payment of fees will cause you severe financial hardship, you may apply to have the fees and charges waived in their entirety.
Additional information can be found on our Fees and Charges Policy and Refund Policy pages.
Enrolment is not considered to be complete unless fees have been paid or other arrangements made. Refunds are available under certain circumstances.
