How do I enrol with Regional Training Services?

Generally, the employer of an apprentice contacts a Australain Apprenticeship Centre to organise a Training Agreement and to choose a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Hopefully they have chosen Regional Training Services (RTS).

That having been done, Regional Training Services (RTS) will meet with the apprentice and employer to formally complete the enrolment process. Several things occur here.

First, a Training Plan Outline is completed and signed, by the apprentice, the employer and the RTO. This lists the units of competency that make up the qualification, who will deliver the training, when the training will be delivered and how it will be assessed.

Second,  a Department of Training Commencement Form is completed and signed. This provides some statistical information for the Department of Training.

Click on the appropriate link to see a list of the units of competency covered in the Bricklaying Apprenticeship and the Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship.

A copy of the Training Plan Outline is provided to the apprentice. The original is sent to the ApprentiCentre to facilitate the registration of the Apprenticeship.

Third, a RTS Enrolment and Fee Details Form is completed; fees are calculated; arrangements for fees payment are confirmed. This finalises the enrolment processes. Apprentices will be notified in writing prior to the commencement of blocks of off-the-job training.
